Chief Underwriter Credit & Surety and Head of Credit & Surety EMEA or APAC or Americas Region

The company is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient. Be the go-to person for all relevant portfolio matters (e.g. provide input in large transactions relevant to the portfolio) and act as spokesperson for own portfolio with strong collaboration across the organization (Property & Casualty (P&C) Underwriting (UW), Credit Risk Management, P&C Business Management and beyond) Define ambitious goals and show tangible actions that demonstrate ownership, both for new business and inforce book; understand portfolio priorities in multiple dimensions (profitability, growth and risk) Deliver a high-quality and strategic Factbook including forward-looking views on key risk pool metrics (exposure size, loss frequency, loss severity, premium rate) Develop and review the portfolio strategy at least once a year with a senior panel (e.g. divisional Executive Teams, regional Management Teams, RMT, FRC, Board of Directors) and adapt it, if necessary. You bring minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience and a successful track record in the Global Credit & Surety business with in-depth understanding of the P&C (re-) insurance industry, including trends, cycles and market dynamics. You can demonstrate a consistent track record in strategy development successful execution paired with the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical action plans and to balance big-picture concerns with day-to-day activities. We need somebody with strong people and talent management experience, ideally leading people and/ or teams based in different locations, and you can demonstrate your ability to coach and develop your people.
