Executive Director, GTO

The company is a global health care leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines and animal health products. The AP regional lead role manages the AP PTO-Internal site leadership team and has managerial oversight of the Menuma, HEDA and Pandaan programs, projects and initiatives. For Japan, the AP regional lead has oversight of both the Menuma site technical support activities as well as the Japan regional business and alliance and related CMO operational support. As SG Technology lead, this position manages all the site technology teams and manages all programs, projects and initiatives across all modalities for the Singapore site. Has ownership and oversight for the technology transfer process for new process and/or new product introductions, to sites in the AP region and to the SG site, providing oversight of the new and changed products portfolio. Ensures sites are compliant with equipment, cleaning, and process validation policies and guidelines. Provides technical oversight for major site projects through all project stages: design, funding, installation, demonstration, validation, and optimization. As regional lead manages and provides guidance to the site leads. As SG lead manages and works closely with the site modality tech leads. Develops and sustains a high-performance organization that is highly flexible and motivated to champion change and innovation and drive continuous improvement to successively higher performance levels. Networks and collaborates with internal and external partners to achieve business results. Partners with all site management teams to develop business and organizational direction, design and execution of management strategies.​Coaches all AP site technology teams to prioritize, plan, schedule and execute PTO activities and to effectively support manufacturing operations. Leads or actively participates in key regional or divisional strategic initiatives. Mentors and coaches process engineers and scientists to develop future scientific talent and people pipeline including recruiting strategy. This is completed either directly or through people managers. Has a deep understanding of each site profit plan (PP), challenging both forecast and actual spending. This includes overseeing PP development at AP regional sites and leading the SG PP development, ensuring continual alignment to plan, lead activities to meet production, cost effectiveness, and cost reduction targets set in the SG PP. For all AP internal sites ensures department performance targets are achieved at lowest cost and in compliance with regulatory, quality and safety guidelines. Promotes behaviors and principles that drive the Supply Support Operating Model (SSOM), continuous improvement and a strong product stewardship culture. Leads various Communities of Practice and participates in Regional and Global Communities.  Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in a technical field, including Chemical, Biochemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences. Management (MBA) training a plus. Experience: Prefer 15 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry, including: Multiple leadership roles in global pharmaceutical commercialization, manufacturing technical operations, quality operations, engineering, or supply chain management Process development, unit operations, facility design and construction, safety and environmental, manufacturing and process design and project management Continuous improvement, MPS, Lean Six Sigma methodology and application of Lean tools Refer to Competency Model in Career map for applicable guidance Visionary and strategic in approach and Analytical Problem Solving Demonstrated communication and leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor, coach and motivate others.
