Head, Career Services

The employer is an University. Represent NUS Business School’s Career Services Office to internal & external stakeholders, ensuring astute & responsible stewardship of the teams Lead & mentor a team of over 15 people in the Career Services Team, increasing their level of competencies & deepening their domain knowledge to achieve set goals of the School & University at large, building a positive work culture & environment, driving personal & professional development through informal & formal training programmes Drive strategic planning, initiatives & innovations in the Career Services Team to ensure that short & long term goals are met, aligning daily operations with goals towards our vision of Leading from Asia where NUS Business School is positioned as a preferred source of talents Stay apprised of employer hiring trends, shifts in demand for skills needed for success in an evolving global market & adapt strategies accordingly At least 10 years work experience, with a track record in building cohesive & capable, high performing teams Experience in business development (building employer relations), understanding student & employer needs in recruiting, coupled with knowledge in career development, career assessments, career coaching, career placement, employment trends, HR & legal issues in employment & employment engagement would be critical to this role Strong executive presence, communication & pitching skills would be needed to instill confidence, establish & build rapport with the NUS Business School community & its stakeholders, as well as to deliver training & represent the School to external stakeholders Ability to think strategically, act collaboratively, exercise sound judgment to resolve complex, confidential issues in a fast paced, demanding & volatile environment Deep understanding of global hiring trends & salary benchmark Deep knowledge of career coaching & career development processes Experience in senior level executive search at a reputable firm would be an advantage Extensive network of corporate contacts in the banking & consulting industries Resilient, resourceful & work well under pressure Proficient in MS Office applications, CRM & Simplicity
