Singapore City Singapore Job Type Full Time Your role Are you a proven technology leader? Have you led large teams of subject matter experts in compliance, audit, and technology risk? We're looking for someone like that to join the Singapore Management Committee and help us to: – oversee all aspects of UBS technology in Singapore, a core location for UBS globally, as the Singapore Country Lead and Regional Technology Risk Manager for APAC – be both a people and technical leader by focusing on our technology culture initiatives in Singapore, as well as maintaining technical oversight for production stability and infrastructure in the country – understand the key risks of our operations in Singapore, providing transparency to Singapore senior management, and working with regional, global and functional heads of technology to ensure that risks are addressed and remediated – act as an APAC regulatory and risk control subject-matter expert for Technology, supporting the organization in overseeing regional risk remediation activities in the region – be the main point of contact with APAC regulators on behalf of Technology and provide oversight on regulatory engagements, key stakeholder meetings and audits that are regionally specific – take a leading role in incident and problem management for all local issues – actively engage regional and global technology groups to understand technology strategy and how it impacts Singapore, representing this to Singapore management for decisions – provide regular reporting and updates to the Head of Technology Risk Management and the APAC Regional Technology lead on the regional risk landscape and highlight emerging trends – provide regional/local management with controls, tools, training, frameworks , information and insights required to manage risk – provide reporting and updates to the Technology Risk Management head on the overall regulatory landscape and any emerging trends – engage with local and regional technology and CORC teams to monitor any changes in risk profile or developments – support business continuity management (BCM) by identifying locational specific threats, ensuring systems recovery plans are complete and by ensuring resilience and failover tests are conducted within group policies – lead innovation in the regulatory space with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) About us Expert advice. Your team You'll be working in our Technology Risk Management team. We're responsible for technology risk management, overseeing risk remediation, and ensuring technology controls are designed and operating effectively for the UBS Technology organization. You'll be working closely with your counterparts – business risk managers, Security Technology as well as Compliance and Operational Risk. Your experience and skills You have: – 15 years of experience in risk management, risk control, audit or compliance within the financial services industry – 10 years of experience as a people manager, with a proven track record of building and leading teams of subject matter experts – a university degree, with an advanced degree or MBA preferred – top-tier communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate to outside regulators and auditors verbally and in writing – impeccable problem-solving skills, with a strong background in risk remediation and compliance – an understanding of operational risk management and implementation in practice – sound experience in data analysis, validation and presentation of results (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Tableau) You can: – act as a risk regulatory and compliance subject-matter expert for UBS Technology, supporting the organization in all areas of risk management and controls – manage priorities and organize work to meet stringent deadlines required by outside regulators and auditors – manage a diverse APAC regional risk team, interfacing with regulators from around the region – lead and consolidate responses to our internal and external auditors – ensure risk frameworks are operating effectively – assist in managing a progressive and sustainable control environment You are: – a great communicator (and you know how to handle challenging situations) – a flexible and resilient leader with strong interpersonal skills taking initiative to drive things forward – able to multitask and oversee different projects in parallel – methodical, concise and accurate, with strong attention to detail – able to surface and address issues, control deficiencies and emerging risks – able to work with tight deadlines – confident in dealing with colleagues at all levels, in multiple locations – fluent in English What we offer Together.
