Director, Strategy and Administration

The employer is an University. Operations, Administration and Events (OAE) Oversee the delivery of high quality and service oriented Quality Management, Events Services, General Office Administration, Personal Data Protection, Workplace Safety and Health, Crisis and Emergency Management and Business Continuity Management. External Affairs & Marketing (EA&M) Oversee the strategy, development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing activities, brand strategy, student admissions efforts of the School across all media platforms. Research Support Unit (RSU) Oversee the day-to-day process for research administration and dissemination, including grant administration, research support, research benchmarking, research dissemination and research reporting for the School. Strategic Planning (SP) Oversee the planning, development and implementation of the School's strategic plans and projects, as well as risk management and legal coordination functions. Advancement & Development (A&D) Oversee and drive donor relations and fund raising initiatives. Cultivate and grow the School's portfolio of donors, and enhancing outreach to new and potential donors to achieve the fund raising targets of the School Minimum eighteen (18) years' experience in financial, budgeting, and administration management; At least ten (10) years' experience at a senior management level in an organisation with a record of success in marketing, grant administration and financial management linking service delivery to strategic objectives; Proven track record of achieving results in a corporate or a non-profit environment, with demonstrated success in developing policies, procedures and processes and building systems and tools to support a growth-oriented organization; Experience of governmental, intergovernmental and/or non-governmental organisations; Experience in implementing significant change management processes; Experience in project management and related financial reporting; Strong managerial skills, including motivating, developing, coaching and leading teams; Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas and to transfer knowledge and skills; Ability to deliver results and to manage change; Excellent negotiation, dialogue/conflict resolution and diplomacy skills; Excellent communication skills including the ability to write concise, straight forward and jargon free material and the ability to present complex political/technical issues to non expert audiences; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent organisational skills and efficiency; Excellent sense of initiative, ability to set priorities and work under pressure with accuracy and dedication; Ability to operate effectively in a multi-cultural environment and be Gender- sensitive.
