AVP, Product Manager – FI Trade, Group Transaction Banking

Reporting to the Group Head of Trade Product, the position will be responsible for the development /implementation of sales strategies and initiatives targeting Financial Institution clients of the bank. Together with the FI Trade Sales team, the position will provide consultative support, structure solutions to meet with customers' needs to grow trade-related revenues. As part of the Group Trade Product Management team, the position will be responsible for co-ordinating Group and country-specific FI trade product program requirements, as well as participate in requirement specifications for rollout of specific FI trade products. The position will also manage bank trade limits to drive effective utilisation. Job responsibilities: Manage product P&L and business drivers (i.e. asset levels, contingent liabilities, transaction volumes, revenue/cost ratios, cost of credit, ROEC etc.) to achieve product profitability and trade asset growth. Write and maintain group product programs, circulars and transaction memorandums for new products. Liaise with internal and external suppliers and partners on product/business requirements. Engage and liaise with internal stakeholders e.g. Operations, Legal, Credit and/or external business partners to implement, address and achieve product requirements and objectives and ensure standard frameworks/processes are implemented in line with the bank's risk appetite and policies. Maintain strong knowledge on processing methodologies, GL entires, facilities structuring and trade systems. Support customer franchise business through collaboration with third party banks to grow import and guarantee flows beyond the bank's existing network. Implement strategic partnerships/solutions for risk mitigation/management e.g. credit insurance or multilateral development programs. Drive effective utilisation of bank trade limits for (a) export trade confirmation and/or negotiation and (b) FI trade origination and/or secondary market activities. Review bank trade limits and FI relationships on ad-hoc or annual basis together with FI relationship managers and Trade Sales teams across business segment to support trade and revenue growth. Job requirements: University degree with at least 3 years of of working experience in trade finance and/or dealing with financial institutions clients. Strong trade finance technical and/or operation experiences in particular to Documentary Trade such as LC, Bank Guarantee and SBLC with some knowledge on trade concepts/laws, regulations, ICC guidelines and international best practices Credit experience will be a plus Strong analytical, communication, writing and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport Good command of spoken and written English/Mandarin to handle mandarin speaking markets
