Commercial Director, Warehouse Automation

The company is a global technology, defence and engineering group specialising in the aerospace, electronics, land systems and marine sectors. Functional role of a business lead for Warehouse automation business Strong understanding of warehouse operations, developing business partners in this industry, and to implement the business strategy Seek and engage customers to understand customers’ long and short term plans, automation requirements, performance specifications, expectations and deliverables of the project Build partnerships and suppliers and develop end to end solutions for clients Responsible to prepare documents and materials for the entire project from responding to Request For Proposal (RFP) stage to Request For Quotation (RFQ) stage up to final customer sign off of the project. Essential to have costing and P&L knowledge Responsible to prepare documents and materials for back-to-back support from business partners to respond to potential customers’ or project Request For Proposal (RFP) stage to Request For Quotation (RFQ) stage up to final sign off of the project. Essential to have costing with P&L knowledge Key contact person of all stakeholders of the project, both in-house and external parties including management of a small team of Participate in commissioning process of the automation solution and obtain final sign-off of the project from customers Degree in Engineering or Business Management, candidate with MBA preferred At least 5 years in Sales and Biz Development for engineering products and services Experience in independently engaging in-house and customers at senior level, up to company president level, to deliver business plans, project brief, updates and reports etc. as well as management of a small team ( At least 5 years of hands-on project management experience in implementation of automated solutions, equipment delivery and commissioning or equipment maintenance in warehouse operations environment Good Communicator Team Player
