Country Director

Supports and implements the company's Mission, Vision and Strategic Objectives Responsible for oversight and direction of the team; Leads team to set objectives and agenda including performance/activity updates and communicating objectives Develop a strong relationship with BCD Travel specialized departments to achieve client and BCD Travel goals Prepares both short-term and long-term business plans for area of responsibility to meet company's strategic objectives Establishes and ensures achievement of sales growth and profitability targets Builds long term business partnerships at key levels for clients and vendors Evaluates and approves pricing for prospective and rebid situations with clients and vendors applying regional/country economics Creates plans for expansion of existing client and new business opportunities by pursuing business opportunities with strategic targets and cultivating relationships with existing client Remains aware of marketplace changes, makes acquisition recommendations and identify competitive threats and emerging problems Cascades business plans to each level and ensures actions are developed and executed to ensure success Defines and implements annual budget plans and oversees regular reporting of results to global finance; Assumes full P&L accountability Builds strong relationships with employees at all levels; works to be approachable by employees Develop specific team goals/objectives, enforce department level service level standards and monitor workload metrics Manages the performance of direct reports and down line employees to promote employee growth, development and success Develop and monitor workload metrics base on meeting complexity by function Develop & maintain annual business plan for overall event team as well as specific team annual goals/objectives. Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications and/or business management Minimum 12 years' experience in incentives, meetings and/or events Minimum12 years' experience in account/client management Minimum 12 years' experience in managing people Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to lead a team Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations. Knowledge of communications strategies and client consulting to develop tactical plans to accomplish strategic goals Effective organizational and time management skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple complex projects and timetables Capable of thinking innovatively, strategically and conceptually Capable of problem solving-anticipating, initiating and resolving customer or vendor issues Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios Fluent English and Mandarin language skills to liaise with English and Chinese speaking internal/external stakeholders Able to travel up to 50%
