Deputy Director (Standards)

The employer is the new enterprise development agency formed through a merger between IE Singapore and SPRING Singapore. As a key management staff of the Standards Division, you will be leading a team of officers to identify and develop key national and international standards to support the transformation of Singapore’s industries as well as emerging and growth areas in the manufacturing, service and building & construction fields. You will need to engage and cultivate strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders such as government agencies, institutions of higher learning, professional bodies and industry associations in the development of these standards. You will oversee the development of standards in one of the three following areas Infrastructure, environment and safety sectors; Service and promotion of active ageing; Electrical & electronics, IT and smart nation You will also oversee some of strategic work in Standards Division such as partners’ management, governance in standards development and publication of standards. Background in Engineering, Science, Business or Economics with at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and have a strong passion to grow the industry through the use of standards. You should possess strong staff development, project management, analytical, influencing, writing and presentation skills. Candidates with industry, policy making and/or international relations experience would be an advantage.
