Senior R&D Test Development Engineer

A leading global technological manufacturer with a large R&D team Establishing testing strategies by designing flow and procedures to implement test concept and software/hardware methodology ensuring smooth & efficient production. Perform test capacity planning to ensure testers' capacities are maximized and sufficient. Design test interface boards and have knowledge in test equipment specifications to facilitate equipment selection for testing. Lead and train test personnel in NPI team to achieve prototype objective and target. Execute laboratory R&D prototype phase-related activities (setting up new bench testers, writing scripts, doubling up as EE engineer by carrying out experiments etc) to support large-volume manufacturing build. Work closely with R&D and product engineers during prototype and NPI phases to ensure smooth transition into mass production and optimize productivity. Analyse data collection and prepare/update test software/hardware documentation for information exchange between R&D departments. Prepare and update standard operating procedure to standardize test processes during prototype phases. Perform test debugging and initial-level product debugging or post production troubleshooting. Work closely with customers and vendors to deliver all test requests before MR Willing to travel to factory in Malaysia daily especially during builds and during crisis. Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Electronic/Electrical Engineering with 5 years working experience, preferably in manufacturing industry. Must have experience in programming skills in Visual Studio C++, C#, Labview, Labwindows. Well-versed in EE schematics and clear understanding of how circuitry functions. Relevant working experience in NPI test development environment. Excellent attitude in learning new technologies.
