SVP/VP, DBS Foundation, Group Strategic Marketing and Communications

Business Function Group Strategic Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing and research to differentiate â€" and elevate â€" our brand from the rest of the competition. Key Accountabilities The candidate will a relationship manager for social enterprises (“SE”), the Foundation’s SE grantees as well as various programme and network partners in the social enterprise and community development space. He / She will also be responsible for planning and managing the skills-based volunteering efforts within the bank. The candidate will have direct responsibility of liaising with local teams as well as building relationships with SEs and partners in the region. This position requires a team player, good marketing and communication skills with a positive attitude. A sound understanding of the social entrepreneurship sector is a must This position reports to the Head of DBS Foundation. General: Engage regional colleagues actively to support the successful delivery of programmes and productive SE support. Plan various workshops/events/webinars that will involve partners, prospects and/or new grantees, and execute the same with the help of team members. Active outreach and build partnerships within DBS employees to support SEs and track the skills-based volunteering projects, measure and articulate impact of the efforts. Design communications to support programmes including managing internal & external communication platforms, marketing collaterals etc. Being conversant with the use of digital and social media platforms will be an added advantage. Other support activities as needed for the Foundation/CSR team and related events. SE and Partner Management Active outreach to build SE and partner relationships that leads to quality SE pipeline for engagement with Foundation’s programmes. Design and manage skills-based volunteer programmes that will help SEs’ to overcome business challenges. Keep abreast with emerging trends in SE landscape in Asia. Help design events â€" big and small that help SEs keep in touch with change and expectations. Help in preparation of reports on SEs, Programmes and Partnerships on a regular basis. Initiate, where needed, research and thought leadership activities that help to showcase DBSF as champion of SE - internally and externally. Education Recognised degree related to Management / Social Work / Communications or Public Policy. Minimum 5 years work experience, of which there is experience in a social enterprise, incubators or accelerators (social or commercial sectors acceptable), a social investment/impact investment firm, a start-up advisory or similar. Volunteer or internship experience in the above should be highlighted. New graduates will only be considered on an exception basis.
