Geo HR Director - APAC

The employer is from IT sector. Builds Area Capability (People, Leadership, Functional, etc.) Supports Area VP / top leaders with organizational effectiveness initiatives and develops solutions to address organizational health and performance. Provides consultation and coaching to business leaders and improves effectiveness of leadership teams in the geography. Oversees executive talent management for the business to ensure the right talent are in the right roles; closes key capability gaps by working with the various stakeholders. Attract, hire and retain talent that can change the trajectory of the business. Anticipate and respond to capability gaps at all levels across the organization and deploy end to end talent management solutions. Accelerates our Culture and Diversity and Inclusion efforts by designing and implementing change management plans to maximize the impact of transformation. Responsible for integrating all people and organization strategies and leading a team to deliver all HR programs and processes for the geography including talent management, organization effectiveness, employee relations, L&D, employee/career development and performance management, ex-pat/mobility etc. with a strong alignment to Global Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and HR Services. Contributes proactively as a member of the Area Leadership Team and the International HR Leadership Team. Owns the employee experience for the geography. Manages the People “Infrastructure”; Develops and executes the HR plan based on the business unit and Microsoft long-term strategy. Understands the diverse needs of the Microsoft businesses located in geography and serves as a key member of the cross-site leadership teams to drive business results. Oversees delivery of HR-related communications to business group working with HR team (e.g. policy changes, compliance, workforce changes, social dialogue etc.); ensures that the company employment brand is reflected in workforce communications and in external speaking events. Represents the company employment brand with regional PR. Develops and facilitates governance with the regional Leadership/Governance Team. Grow and develop HR Capabilities to become true ‘transformation’ partners for the business internally and externally to our customers. Effective orchestration across One-HR with a “customer success” focus, fostering a One-HR, One-Microsoft Team approach across the geography. Ensures appropriate alignment/support for all businesses in the geography. Ensures that the Area HR team has clear goals and expectations, works cross-group, across other MS organizations, and develops interpersonally. Leads the teams and fosters strong alignment with GTA, C&B and HR Services across the geography. Accountable for leading local employee relations and advocacy, supporting growth, enhancing overall workplace ‘health,’ and developing the local climate strategy reflective of Microsoft corporate strategy and values. Owns the people metrics, manages HR budgets and secures funding needed to support HR plans. Ensures Area/Site compliance with Microsoft policies, local workforce laws and regulations. Demonstrable track-record of leading a sizable, matrixed, HR function. Candidates will possess strong HR generalist capabilities, proven business partner and people management experience in a rapidly changing environment. High degree of business acumen and people acumen, and the ability to impact and influence multiple stakeholders including senior business leaders. Understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to think strategically are essential. Strong knowledge of HR and ability to bring thought leadership to complex organizational issues is required. Expert-level people management skills and the ability to mentor and provide guidance to others within HR and the leadership team on complex issues. Able to demonstrate a track record of success in leading a positive and constructive social dialogue with employee representatives. The ability to work effectively, communicate and influence at all levels within the organization and commitment to strategic business partnerships and team development is a must. Must be able to multi-task, deal with ambiguity, work in a team environment, recognize trends, and identify systematic approaches to solving problems in this fast moving, dynamic environment. Track record of innovation and creativity. Demonstrable ability to develop and align resources against a clear people plan and then project manage against the plan to deliver results. Experience in a high-tech fast growth organization is a plus.
