IT Director

The company is the world's largest medical technology company, but we come from humble beginnings.  Establish a productive and professional relationship with the APAC Business Unit Groups key leaders, accountable for developing, executing, and actively managing the BU Strategies and IT value as part of these strategies. Proactively assessment, clarification and validation of the Business Unit Groups needs on an ongoing basis. Assure proper governance with the Business Unit Groups in term of Service level Agreement (SLA) definition, performance review, service evolution plus projects and program portfolio for the Business Unit Groups. Responsible for actively leveraging the Global BU and Global IT strategic initiatives to deliver increased and accelerated value Creating the strategic roadmap and accountable for the delivery, through close collaboration with global IT. (e.g. Patient Data Solutions, Connected Care and Sales Transformation) In-depth understanding of the Business Unit Group’s products & services, and translate these in the needed IT services. In-depth understanding of the innovation pipeline of the Business Unit Groups and its impact on APAC IT Provide regional leadership, management, and development of the department employees including performance management, individual development planning, succession planning, employee communications, and positive working environment to ensure high productivity, employee engagement, and performance. Lead the development of cost center budget and operational plan and manage expenses to plan and identify opportunities to gain competitive advantage through the utilization of Information Technolog Attract, develop and retain top talent within the organization. Observe and evaluate industry trends and benchmarks operations against industry standards. Work cross-functionally with peers to develop and influence consistent practices related to staff development, performance management, client quality programs, cost management, and the promotion of Global Business Solutions. Establish appropriate relationships at all levels within the organization to influence and execute strategy/operations. Establish, interpret, execute and recommend modifications to policies. Ensure governance, compliance, and regulatory processes are followed. Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices. Participate and in some cases lead diverse regional management meetings and councils, for example the APAC IT management meeting, and the Global Technology council (GTC). Be a member of Extended Leadership Team of Global BU IT (MITG, RTG, DIB)  Bachelors degree with B.A or B.S required Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7 years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7 years of managerial experience Excellent stakeholder management skillsStrong leadership, people management and coaching skillsStrong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management, and vendors Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.) Global orientation and strong matrix management Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendors Able to create a high performance culture and inspiring others to excel Proven knowledge and discipline around departmental budget planning and execution Broad business knowledge and experience Advanced degree in Computer Science or business related discipline Willingness to travel, up to 25% to 50%, APAC and occasionally US Capable of driving change and innovation Ability to work in a diverse global organization and implement global solutions
